Whether bought, borrowed or received as a gift, there is always a bit of a thrill in anticipating what waits inside. Somehow books seem more private and personal to me than reading on-line, somewhat akin to a <span class=\"dbox-bold\"><span class=\"oneClick-link oneClick-available\">t\u00eate-\u00e0-t\u00eate<\/span><\/span> with the author, if you will. So I was happy to jump on board when a couple of friends suggested the idea of a &#8216;creative&#8217; reading group, centering on books that cover artistic lives and\/or ideas. We&#8217;re going to begin with Patti Smith&#8217;s newly published <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/10\/02\/books\/review-m-train-patti-smith-on-all-the-roads-she-has-taken.html?_r=0\" target=\"_blank\">M Train<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.
