{"id":1093,"date":"2015-10-01T15:53:31","date_gmt":"2015-10-01T15:53:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elizabethfram.com\/Blog\/?p=1093"},"modified":"2015-10-01T15:53:31","modified_gmt":"2015-10-01T15:53:31","slug":"local-color","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elizabethfram.com\/Blog\/local-color\/","title":{"rendered":"Local Color"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While browsing in a Bar Harbor bookstore in August, I came across the book <a href=\"https:\/\/www.papress.com\/html\/book.details.page.tpl?isbn=9781616892975\" target=\"_blank\">Local Color: Seeing Place Through Watercolor<\/a> by designer <a href=\"http:\/\/mimirobinsondesign.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mimi Robinson<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.papress.com\/imageFiles\/covers\/480\/9781616892975.jpg?resize=247%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"https:\/\/www.papress.com\/imageFiles\/covers\/480\/9781616892975.jpg\" width=\"247\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The theory behind the book is that the colors of a place leave a lasting impression of that locale, especially somewhere we haven&#8217;t been before.
